2025 J.O. Wilson PTA Holiday Giving Drive

Give to the Cardinal Fund

The PTA's Cardinal Fund raises money for teacher grants, enrichment programs for students, and special events that bring our school community together. All donations are tax-deductible  (EIN 27-1832760)

Every dollar raised supports programming throughout the year. No contribution is too small!

• $50 covers a grocery gift card to assist a family in need
• $100 covers a teacher grant for classroom supplies
• $500 covers an in-person PTA meeting/community dinner
• $1,000 covers one grade-level grant to help with field trips

Please share with your networks and help amplify our efforts. Also, check if your employer offers
matching donations to double your impact!

As a registered 501(c)(3) organization, the J.O. Wilson PTA can receive matching donations from most corporate giving programs, such as Benevity and the Combined Federal Campaign. Please check with your employer to see if you can multiply the power of your giving.

Winter Toy and Clothing Drives

Donate new, unwrapped gifts/toys, or new or gently used winter gear.

Clothes: Boys’ and girls’ coats sizes 5-6, 7-8, 10-12, 16 -18, as well as hats, mittens, gloves and scarves.

Toys: Basketballs, footballs, Legos, LOL dolls, action figures, barbies, blocks, anything pertaining to movie “Frozen,” anything Stitch from the movie “Lilo and Stitch,” cars, and trains

Families can bring items to the school (Annex 1) through Dec. 12. There will be boxes set up inside for drop off. Families can also bring items to the Stuff-a-Truck event on Thursday, Dec. 4, (during morning bus drop-off at K St). Items should be unwrapped.

Volunteer your Time and Talents

The PTA is always looking for volunteers to help organize school and community events.

Book Fair (Friday, Dec. 12-Thursday, Dec. 18): Volunteers are needed to assist students
and families, organize books, and help with checkout and cashier duties. If you can work a
after school shift or during either of the winter programs (Dec. 17-18), please sign up here!
Camp Fair (Saturday, Jan. 31): Mark your calendars to attend the annual DC Camp Fair and help
out with making sure the event runs smoothly. We’ll also be putting out a call for donated baked
goods. Stay tuned for more details!

Support Teachers' Donors Choose Projects

Wondering what to give your scholar's teacher this year? Please help our teachers with the items they need to engage our students in fun and enriching activities. Many of our teachers have created Donors Choose campaigns to raise funds for classroom projects; please consider donating to one (or more) of these worthy causes!

Support J.O. Wilson When You Shop
 

Harris Teeter

Link your VIC card to J.O. Wilson through Harris Teeter's Together in Education program. Give your cashier the code 1267 and your VIC card when you check out. As a reminder, you must re-link your rewards card every school year.

French Toast

When you order school uniforms through French Toast using the code QS5AIXF, 5 percent of all proceeds will be donated to the J.O. Wilson PTA.

LIFETOUCH SCHOOL PORTRAITS

Your school picture purchase helps support students and staff at J.O. Wilson. A portion of proceeds from picture orders comes back to the school, and these funds are used to support student activities.
