Welcome to new and returning Cardinal families! J.O. Wilson can't wait to welcome you to a new building and a new chapter for our school during the 2026-27 school year. If you have questions about enrollment, please reach out to Ms. Stephenson in the main office at (202) 698-4733 or at jowilsonesenroll@k12.dc.gov. Over the summer, while DCPS is relocating us from our swing space back to our new school at 660 K Street NE, there may be a brief period when phone lines are disconnected. You can always reach staff working through the summer via email. If you have other questions the PTA can help with, you can also reach out to info@jowilsonpta.org.

New families can find answers to frequently asked questions about our schedule, programming, uniforms and more here. Families hoping to use aftercare should register as soon as possible over the summer. Full details on providers and registration is available here.

My School DC – The Public School Lottery

Like nearly all DC Public Schools, J.O. Wilson participates in the My School DC common lottery. You must use the My School DC application to apply for placement at:

• A PK3 or PK4 program at any DCPS school, including your in-boundary school
• Any DCPS school outside your boundary or feeder pattern (for any grade)

Students entering Kindergarten – Grade 5 are guaranteed placement at their in-boundary school and do not need to apply through the My School DC lottery. Additionally, students do not need to submit an application if they will remain in their current school. (The front office will process re-enrollment information before the end of the current school year.)
